When I'll go travel, my favorite transportation is two things(car, airplane).
Let's think about that you can go to another country without ride an airplane? Yes, you can go by train, car or some transportation. However, how many time will you go? There are slower than airplane; I like watching movie on airplane. When I stay a long time on an airplane, time goes faster. Therefore, I like an airplane.
Then, when you arrive another country, how to move to a hotel? Bus, train or taxi? If you are look around only one place, It is okay. However, you'll go many other place, you could be so tired by bus, train or taxi. Car is easier than bus, train or taxi. You can be move easy by car.
However, if you don't have a car, you can ride other country's special transportation. When I visited the Cebu in the Philippines, I rode a motorcycle. Many Philippines ride motorcycles which has similar taxi. It is cheaper and faster than another transportation. It was so nice.
In conclusion, I like ride a car and an airplane. However if I go travel, you'd better ride other country's best transportation than your favorite transportation.
You gave very good reasons for choosing those different kinds of transportation! Canada is so big that it's easier to travel by airplane, but it can be fun to do a long road trip.
